Updates on the Odisha train accident: 288 killed and more than 1000 injured.

(TWN)- Last Day in Odisha Three trains collided with one another in a major railway catastrophe, which resulted in numerous injuries and fatalities among the passengers.

According to a recent update from Indian media sources, 288 people have already been confirmed killed, while 1000 passengers have been injured. The Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, and a cargo train were all involved in the collision.

In the collision, one train rammed into the other so forcefully that the cars were lifted into the air and twisted before crashing off the rails. Another carriage's passenger portion had been crushed after being completely thrown onto its roof. According to railroad officials, there were two trains carrying almost 3,400 passengers.

Actual Cause of the Train Crash

As The software "KAWACH" used by the Indian Railway System is well known on a global scale. The Indian Railways use a highly accurate and potent piece of software to keep track of every train that is in motion and prevent collisions between different trains. It is SSL certified, which indicates that the software is so potent and precise that there is only a 1-in-10,000 years of chance that it will make a mistake.

Despite having this fantastic program, a major oversight occurred because it wasn't implemented in the specific area of Odisha where the disaster occurred. Because of this, the train was unable to detect and stop the other trains in time to avoid a collision.
